Damera Corporation participated in the 2026 Campus Parking & Transportation Association (CPTA) Annual Conference & Trade Show, held October 18–21 at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.
The annual conference brings together university transportation professionals, campus parking and mobility leaders, and industry partners to exchange practical experience, explore emerging technologies and discuss the future of transportation in higher education.

University campuses operate like small cities, with students, faculty, staff and visitors travelling between academic buildings, residences, parking facilities, medical centres and surrounding communities.
Providing convenient transportation across these environments requires flexibility. Passenger demand changes throughout the day, routes vary in distance and capacity requirements, and accessibility must remain a priority.
Right-sized electric transit offers universities another way to respond to these challenges.
Purpose-built electric minibuses such as the Karsan eJEST, distributed by Damera Corporation in North America, can support campus circulators, parking shuttles, first- and last-mile connections and other lower-capacity services.

With a compact footprint, low-floor accessibility and zero-tailpipe-emission operation, the eJEST provides an alternative to conventional shuttle vehicles while maintaining the passenger experience expected from public transportation.
A valuable part of the conference was the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with university transportation professionals.

The meeting reflected the collaborative spirit of CPTA, where universities and industry representatives can share perspectives on campus connectivity, transportation accessibility, operational efficiency and emerging mobility solutions.
For Damera, these conversations help us better understand the transportation challenges universities face and where right-sized electric vehicles may provide practical value.
Introducing electric transportation involves more than choosing a vehicle. Universities must also consider route requirements, charging infrastructure, operating costs, driver training, maintenance and long-term support.
Damera works with transportation organizations to address these requirements through electric vehicle solutions, charging guidance, technical training, parts and after-sales services.
The objective is to help institutions build campus transportation systems that are accessible, efficient and adaptable to changing mobility needs.
Damera's participation in CPTA 2026 reflects our commitment to supporting higher education transportation professionals and contributing to the continued development of sustainable campus mobility.
